SALT WATER
When angling in salt water, consider using pliers with the black oxidized finish which provides an extra layer of protection. The Pisces Plier has a zinc coating for protection. For longevity in salt water be sure to rinse your pliers in fresh water and apply a little oil.
METAL
The Bullet Head, Chain Nose and Barracuda pliers are made with 410 stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness of 45 on the cutters. The Pisces has a Rockwell hardness of 55 due to the Tungsten Carbide cutters.
